Why choose Autoterm diesel heaters?

• Autoterm’s air-series heaters are independent diesel-powered units that are easily retrofitted into vans, campers and motorhomes. 

• They feature brushless induction motors for quiet, reliable operation down to extreme temperatures (as low as –45 °C). 

• Models are available in 12 V or 24 V versions, compatible with camper-van electrical systems. 

• Autoterm themselves list both “Simple Control” and “Comfort Control” panels (with thermostat, LED status display, vehicle‐battery safety functions etc) as available control options.

Our options & how we build them

We install a range of Autoterm heater options, tailored to the size and layout of your vehicle:

• 2 kW units – ideal for smaller vans or compact camper-conversions. For example the Autoterm Air 2D offers 2 kW nominal heating power, up to 86 m³/h hot-air flow, fuel consumption around 0.24 litres/hour at max. 

• 4 kW units – suited to larger high-top long-wheelbase vans, full-size motorhomes or where faster warm-up is required. For example the Autoterm Air 4D delivers nominal 4 kW power and up to 168 m³/h air flow. 

• Controller options – We fit your choice of:

  • Simple Controller: basic user interface, on/off & fan levels.

  • Comfort Controller: enhanced thermostat control, LED status display, battery-safety cut-off, maintenance reminder. 

• Mounting & installation – Depending on your vehicle layout, we handle:

  • Internal mounting (within cabin or under-floor within the habitation zone)

  • External mounting with appropriate ducting, exhaust routing and insulation

• Warranty & certification – we provide a 2-year parts & labour warranty for installations carried out at our Newton Abbot workshop.
